Clare GP Believes New Pathway At Region’s Main Hospital Won’t Be Effective

A Clare Doctor believes a new patient pathway to be rolled out at University Hospital Limerick will not have a meaningful impact on overcrowding.

Under the primary care pathway , patients presenting to ED without a referral will be screened by a GP before a decision on admittance is made.

The measure will be operational seven days a week between the hours of 12pm and 10pm.
