Clare GP ‘Absolutely Refutes’ The Taoiseach’s Stance On Medical Card Cuts

A North Clare GP says he ‘absolutely refutes’ the Taoiseach’s claim that the government isn’t cutting medical cards from people who need them.

Lahinch-based Dr. Michael Kelleher is a member of the IMO’s GP Committee which has described the move to introduce free doctor visits to Under 5s as a ‘political stunt’ at a time when sick people are being declined supports for their medical bills.

Dr. Kelleher believes the universal measure will see the less well-off lose out at the expense of people who don’t need such support
