Clare Govt TD Insists No-Deal Brexit Simply Not An Option

The Fianna Fail leader says the party won’t pull down the government in case there’s a no deal Brexit.

The British Parliament is due to vote on Theresa May’s deal in less than 2 weeks.

If it doesn’t pass, there’s the possibility of Britain leaving the EU without a deal.

Confidence and supply talks are continuing here between Fianna Fail and Fine Gael to try and extend the deal keeping the current government in place.

Micheál Martin says they don’t want an election while there’s still uncertainty over Brexit.
Meanwhile, a Clare Government TD insists a no-deal Brexit simply isn’t an option for the UK.

Clarecastle Fine Gael TD Joe Carey doesn’t think British parliamentarians have any other option but to accept the deal, saying anything else would be chaotic.
