A Clare Government TD insists Ennis would be the option to locate a surgical hub in the Midwest.
No decision has yet to be officially taken on the matter, though it’s understood that Limerick remains the preferred location for the facility at the Cabinet table.
Health Minister Stephen Donnelly’s told the Dail that planning for the location of the hubs will be determined by the scope and scale of services to be included, timescales for the work, the proposed model of care.
