A Clare Government Senator’s hopeful the projected timeline for the 96-bed block at University Hospital Limerick will be brought forward.
The UL Hospitals Group has confirmed work on the project will begin in October, and is due to be completed within two years.

Around half of the beds will be new inpatient beds, while the remainder will be replacement beds for existing facilities.
Ennistymon-based Fine Gael Senator Martin Conway, who’s his party’s Seanad spokesperson on health, is hopeful the project’s timeline will be shorter than initially planned.
