Clare Gov Senator Calls On Health Minister To Set Up Team To Examine Recommendations From External Review Of UHL

A Clare government Senator is calling on the Minister for Health to establish a dedicated team to examine the recommendations of an external review of the region’s main hospital.

The UL Hospitals Group commissioned Deloitte to undertake a comprehensive review of its six hospitals in March 2022.

The report, published on Friday, contained recommendations to provide 302 additional inpatient beds within 14 years and to immediately increase medical and nursing staff at the Emergency Department in University Hospital Limerick.
