Over a dozen Clare communities are celebrating the national feast day with their traditional St. Patrick’s Day Parades.

In Ennis, the parade is udnerway since 11am with 50 groups taking part in today’s event.
Parades in Shannon and Killaloe kick off at 2 o’clock, while in Kilrush and Ennistymon events start at 3 o’clock.
Parades are also being held today in several other parts of the county, including Kilkee, Kilfenora, Fanore, Tulla, Liscannor, Doolin, Scarriff and Miltown Malbay, where organiser Tony Cogan says their theme is ‘The Gathering’.
