Gardaí in Clare are warning people of fraudulent text messages claiming to be from the HSE.
It follows reports of a text message sent to people claiming that they have been in contact with someone who has a Covid-19 variant.

It asks the person to follow instructions on the link to order a testing kit, but brings them to a page requiring payment to arrange Fast Tracking Delivery.
Gardaí are warning people not to click on the link or to enter bank details.
