Clare Gardaí are reminding that anyone caught with fireworks this Halloween could face up to five years in prison.

Under the law, it’s illegal to possess fireworks, with intent to sell or supply without a licence, to light unlicensed fireworks or to throw fireworks at a person or property.

Possessing fireworks alone could result in imprisonment or a fine of up to ten thousand euro.
