Clare Gardaí Urge Parents To Speak To Children About Online Dangers

Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer is urging parents to ensure their children are fully aware of the importance of their safety when online.

Children have been spending more time online than ever before, since the beginning of the public health emergency, and many of them will have less supervision.

Sergeant Triona Brooks says it’s vital that parents involve themselves in their child’s online life, set rules and limits for use, and ensure that their child makes them aware of anything that happens online that upsets, worries or scares them.
