Clare Gardaí are urging Leaving Cert students to celebrate responsibly tonight, with Community Policing members on patrol to ensure the safety of all those socialising.
Gardaí say this could be a first night out for many students and are reminding them to stick with their friends, plan their journey home, keep their phones charged and look out for one another.
They’re also advising students to pace themselves with alcohol, not to mix drinks, never take chances with illegal substances, and never drive or attempt to drive under the influence of intoxicants.
Ennis-based Community Policing Sergeant Dominic Regan says students should look out for each other, particularly those who may be upset by their results, and enjoy the celebrations safely and responsibly.
