Gardaí are warning road uses not to take any risks this Bank Holiday weekend, saying it’s simply not worth it.

There will be additional traffic on the roads over the coming days and motorists are being urged to slow down, always wear your seat belt, be well rested and never drink and drive.

There will be an increased Garda presence from today until Monday, as part of An Garda Síochána’s road safety campaign, which focuses on saving lives and reducing injuries.

Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer, Sergeant Tríona O’Rourke has been telling us what they’ll be watching out for this weekend.
