Gardai in Clare detected a motorist travelling at 168 kilometres per hour in a 100 zone yesterday evening.
The motorcyclist was detected on the N85 between Ennis and Ennistymon.
Gardai stopped the vehicle when they were conducting routine speed checks on the road.
