Gardai in Clare detected a motorist travelling at 168 kilometres per hour in a 100 zone yesterday evening.
The motorcyclist was detected on the N85 between Ennis and Ennistymon.

Gardai stopped the vehicle when they were conducting routine speed checks on the road.
They say proceedings have now commenced with the driver of the motorbike.
