Clare Gardaí dealt with over 160 missing persons cases last year.

Figure released in the annual report of An Garda Síochana show that three-quarters of these cases were dealt with as high risk, though this is in line with the figures nationally.
The report also shows that on 15 occasions last year, Gardaí here invoked a section of the Childcare Act which allows them to remove a child from their parents or guardian if they believe the child is in immediate danger.
However, this is six less than in 2013.
