Members of the force are out in force on the county’s roads this weekend, with the increased presence establised to detect instances of speeding, drink driving and other offences.
Gardai have also vowed to monitor areas where so-called ‘donuts’, or burnt tyre rubber, appears on roads, and to make every effort to catch those responsible.
Superintendent of Kilrush Gardai Gerry Wall says they’re taking this matter very seriously.
