Clare GAA fans have reacted with anger at how Páirc Uí Chaoimh stewards removed them from the field in the aftermath of Clare’s clash with Wexford on Saturday.
The Banner hurlers are through to the All-Ireland semi-final after beating Wexford by a comfortable seven points in the game.
After the game, fans ran onto the pitch to congratulate the players but pictures of them being forcably removed have been circulating online since.
One of those is Gerry McNamara, from Roslevan in Ennis.
He’s told Clare FM what happened to him.
While Killaloe man James O’Halloran’s 65-year-old father was another one of those who was taken off of the pitch by stewards in Cork
He agreed that too much force was used.
Clare FM has contacted the GAA for a statement on the incident.
