A North Clare business has been served with a closure order by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland.
The Burren Atlantic Hotel’s kitchen in Ballyvaughan was among 11 premises to receive enforcement orders last month.

The facility was ordered to close under the FSAI Act, 1998, whereby an authorised officer believes ‘there is likely to be a grave and immediate danger to public health at/or in the food premises.
The orders may be lifted when the premises has improved to the satisfaction of the authorised officer.
