Clare Folklorist Claims Stretch Of M18 May Be Cursed By Fairies

Clare’s most famous folklorist is suggesting that a stretch of the M18 motorway prone to accidents may be cursed by fairies.

The Little People have been hitting the headlines this week after Kerry TD Danny Healy Rae claimed a recurring dip in a local road was on account of a disturbance within the mythical meeting grounds.

However, noted folklorist Eddie Lenihan is now suggesting they could have led to issues here on a stretch of the M18 motorway between Crusheen and Gort, which has seen a spate of accidents during different bouts of bad weather.

Transport Infrastructure Ireland said a micro-climate has led to high levels of wintry showers, and that this has contributed to the problem, but Eddie has told Clare FM’s Morning Focus that he thinks something else could be at play.
