Clare FM has been awarded the overall prize at the 2014 Agricultural Journalism Awards.
Clare's number one radio station also took the radio category at the Awards, organised by the Guild of Agricultural Journalists in Ireland.
The station was honoured for an entry focussed on its coverage of the fodder crisis in 2012 and 2013, across news coverage and Farm Focus and the Morning Focus programs.
Chairman of the panel of judges Martin Heraghty said the entry was a perfect example of a local media organisation taking on a very important community service role at a time of national crisis.
Clare FM is the first local media organisation to win the prestigious award in its near 40 year history.
