Clare homeowners are being warned of the increased risk of house fires over the Christmas period.

The county's Fire Service says it traditionally experiences a surge in call-outs during the holidays as a result of Christmas lights being left on.
Unattended candles also pose an issue, and Clare's Chief Fire Officer Adrian Kelly is urging people to put safety first.
