Clare’s County Fire & Rescue Service is urging members of the public to follow fire safety advice this Christmas.
Traditionally, the main causes of fire during the festive season are candles left unprotected, fairy lights left on all night or lights that are improperly wired.

Christmas trees falling over are also a major concern, as well as open fires without fireguards, which can lead to decorations catching fire.
