The PRO of Clare Fianna Fáil says his party won’t be rushing into choosing its candidates for the next general election.
The party put its regional bodies on 48 hours notice to hold selection conventions last weekend in the case that a snap election was called.

Though the threat of an election has now dissipated, concerns have been expressed by some that frayed relations between Fianna Fail and Fine Gael could lead to an election early next year.
