Clare Fianna Fáil Senator Says Roads Funding Must Be Adjusted For Inflation

Clare’s Fianna Fáil Senator is confident additional funding will come on stream to combat the decline of local and regional roads in the county.

It comes after Junior Minister for Transport Jack Chambers held discussions with a delegation of Clare Councillors on the matter yesterday afternoon.

Clare County Council’s total allocation for road works this year will be just over 52 million euro.

However, Mountshannon based Senator, Timmy Dooley believes if funding is not adjusted for inflation, Clare’s road network will continue to deteriorate.
