Clare Farming Representative Claims “Green Agenda” Damaging Agricultural Exports

A Clare farming representative claims a “green agenda” has damaged the country’s agricultural exports.

Bord Bia’s Export Performance and Prospects report shows the value of Ireland’s food, drink and horticulture exports fell by 4% last year while dairy, which makes up 40% of total exports, saw a decline of 8%.

Butter and cheese each account for 21% of dairy exports but experienced falls of 12% and 4% respectively.
