Clare Farmers urge against carbon tax hikes

Clare farmers are urging the government to show common sense in relation to carbon tax increases in next month’s budget.

They say that if extra taxes were to be levied on either diesel or agricultural diesel, then this would drive up the costs of farm produce for the consumer, both here in Ireland and in export markets.
