Clare IFA have criticised a number of budgetary measures, including cuts to schemes for beef and sheep farmers.

The group claims the moves will force many farmers onto Farm Assist, but it’s claimed changes to the means test for this program will put it out of reach to many.

Clare IFA Chairman Andrew Dundass is calling on the county’s TDs to ensure the sector is hit with no further cuts, saying farmers have already suffered enough.
