As the water issues in Clare persist, it’s claimed farmers in this county are under huge pressure to meet the cost of their water bills.
A hosepipe ban has been in place nationally since Friday, while supplies in many parts of the county remain critically low.
Irish Water is warning it could be several weeks before some restrictions are lifted, with the dry weather predicted to last until the end of July.
North Clare is expected to continue to face issues for a number of weeks while this weekend also sees East Clare continue to experience restrictions.
But Clare County Chair of the ICMSA Martin McMahon fears that farmers are facing huge bills in the face of it.
