Clare farmers are being urged to discuss their personal issues, which the IFA say have been increased as a result of recent months of heavy rain.
The Association says it’s members are under increased financial pressure and stress as a result of the conditions, and are urging people to discuss their own problems and difficulties in order to help avoid increased physical and mental ill health.
However, new research from the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy shows almost a third of farmers don’t do this.
