Clare Farmers Demanding Respect As Food Producers Protest This Evening

Clare farmers taking to the streets this evening are said to be demanding respect as food producers.

Farmers in every county are taking part in demonstrations from 4 o’clock this evening in solidarity with their EU counterparts who have been voicing their opposition to increased costs and green policies in recent weeks.

Tractor runs will get underway in Clare at Setrights Tavern in Cratloe, Duggans Pub in Spancilhill and Dromoland.

The demonstration is being organised by the Irish Farmers Association and Parteen-based County Chair, Tom Lane says that farmers are feeling underappreciated for the valuable contribution they make to society.
