Clare Farmers being asked to look after their mental health

Clare farmers are being reminded supports are available to help cope with the pressures involved.

It's after a study the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy found that just seven per cent of farmers said they would speak to a doctor about difficulties they were encountering, while a a quarter said they would find it hard to speak to anyone about issues surrounding mental health.

Clare IFA Chairman Andrew Dundass feels it's important farmers look after their mental health.
