A Kilkee expert in men’s health is urging men to take greater steps to improve prostate health as part of Men’s Health Awareness month.
The importance of training pelvic floor muscles in men is being highlighted as currently 4,000 men in Ireland are diagnosed with prostate cancer each year.
Pelvic floor training reduces the risk of bladder and bowel infection and also helps prevent erectile dysfunction.
Kilkee native and Chartered Physiotherapist at the Bon Secours Consultant Clinic in Galway, Aoife Ní Eochaidh, says lifestyle changes go hand in hand with pelvic floor training to ensure greater prostate health.
