The EPA is overseeing work carried out by Irish Water to ensure that inadequate supplies across the country are addressed in a consistent manner.

The latest revision of the EPA’s Remedial Action List sees no change in Clare’s public drinking water supply.

The list was created to focus Irish Water’s attention on resolving the most serious deficiencies in the system, ensuring that funds are invested into areas that need it the most.

Irish Water manages 973 public drinking water supplies across the country, 109 of those serving almost one million people, remain on the priority list, but none of those are located here.

The EPA has welcomed Clare’s exclusion from the list and has committed to ensuring that all remaining supplies across the country are made safe and secure.
