A Clare-native ex-director of Trocaire believes there’s no end in sight to the current conflict along the Gaza border.

Since violence began on Monday, nearly 120 people have been killed in the area and eight have died in Israel.

Israeli troops are now preparing to push inside if given the order, in what would be a hugely significant escalation to the conflict.

Kilmaley native and board member of Sadaka, the Ireland-Palestine alliance, Eamon Meehan, believes people in Gaza should be given the space to move freely.
