The amendment, approved by a vote in 1983, enshrines the equal right to life of the mother and the unborn and makes abortion illegal under the Irish Constitution.
Niamh O'Brien says abortion is an issue which effects thousands of women in Ireland ever year and people should be allowed to have their say on the issue.
The Fis Nua candidate says it's a matter of choice.
