Clare Driving Instructor Calls For RSA To Clarify Purpose Of Price Hikes

A Clare Driving Instructor says the Government and RSA must provide clarity on the purpose of incoming price hikes.

New charges for NCTs, Driving Licences, Learner Permits, and Commercial Vehicle Tests willl come in from January 1st which will see increases of between 15% to 43% across the board.

They will be the first changes to the cost of RSA services since 2012 and the organisation says it needs to raise €18m for public interest activities as part of its business planning for the coming year.

Chris Curran, of Chris Curran Driving School in Ennis says motorists deserve to know where the funds are going as the cost of getting on the road remains a serious challenge.
