Road users across Clare are being urged to drive with extra care over the Bank Holiday as statistically its one of the most dangerous on the country’s roads.
26 people have died on Irish roads during the St Patrick’s weekend over the past five years.

Last year alone, six people lost their lives that bank holiday weekend- while so far here in Clare two people have died on the roads , and several others have been seriously injured in a number of other collisions.
Sergeant John Ryan who’s in charge of traffic for the Clare Garda Division -is warning motorists to be extra vigilant
