Clare motorists spent almost 27 million euro on motor tax in 2011.

Just over one in three motorists purchased their tax disc online, with the remainder using the Council’s offices in Ennis or Ennistymon.

The Council recently re-located it’s Ennis tax office to Aras Chontae an Chlair, a move it estimates will save 157,000 euro this year.
