Clare Drivers Most Likely To Receive Penalty Points

Clare drivers are the most likely in Ireland to have been issued with penalty points.

Figures published in today's Irish Times show nearly a quarter of drivers here (23.19%) have fallen foul of road traffic rules.

The paper’s study suggests that there is a link between penalty points and road deaths, and that deaths are lowest in counties where drivers are more likely to have been caught speeding.

That seems to be the case here, as the study finds the rate of deaths in road traffic accidents in Clare is among the lowest in Ireland.
