New CSO figures out today show there are 9, 829 people on the county’s Live Register down over 160 on April and a drop of almost 500 on the same month last year.
Ennistymon experienced the biggest drop in unemployment levels with 77 fewer people signing on in May.
There were also sharp falls in Tulla and Kilrush but dole queues in Ennis only fell marginally.
