Clare’s Dog Warden has issued a renewed warning to owners to keep their pets under control, following multiple major incidents last Friday.
In Barefield, a German Shepherd escaped through a hole in a fence before chasing a man and daughter, which ultimately resulted in a fine for the owner.

In a separate incident later that day, a dog was killed after being struck by a vehicle near Ballyalla, while a Bulldog in Ennis had to put down after it killed another dog in a vicious assault.
Clare County Dog Warden Frankie Coote says the lack of control by owners led to devastating consequences.
