Clare Dog Owners Who Don’t Muzzle Their Pet Will Be Fined Says County Dog Warden

Clare’s County Dog Warden is warning he will be issuing fines to owners of dangerous dog breeds who fail to use a muzzle.

It follows an incident at John O’Sullivan Park, Lees Road, during which a child narrowly escaped being bit by a bulldog, after putting her hands through a rail.

It was one of two incidents which happened around the same time at the amenity; another dog, who was off-lead had to be treated by a vet after being attacked by two other dogs.

Frankie Coote has one of the highest records of fines being paid in the country and he says those who don’t pay their fine will be summonsed to appear before the courts.
