Clare Dog Owners Advised To Be Wary Of Dangers Of Algal Bloom To Pets

Clare dog owners are being advised to be wary of the potential dangers of algal bloom when walking their dogs near water.

It follows an advisory issued by Tipperary County Council last week abut the presence of algae on the Tipperary side of Lough Derg.

Clare County Council says its not aware of any such conditions on the Clare side of the lake, but is reassuring the situation remains under review, with local authority staff continuing to monitor conditions.

County Dog Warden Frankie Coote says people should still remain vigilant.
