Clare Disability Campaigner Backs Calls For Increase In Workplace Targets

A Clare campaigner is backing calls to increase targets for the number of people with disabilities in the workforce.

A conference in Dublin has heard that 4 in 10 people with disabilities who want to work face barriers in finding employment. 

In response, the Minister with responsibility for the area Finian McGrath says Ireland should be doubling its target for the number of people with disability in the public service from 3 to 6 percent. 

Anne-Marie Flanagan believes even this figure is too low.
