A significant housing boost could be in store for a south Clare village pending the approval of newly-published plans.
Clare developer Datcha Construction Limited has submitted a planning application for a development consisting of over 70 units on the outskirts of Sixmilebridge.
Lodged on March 11th, the application details plans for a development comprising 74 residential units on the Shannon Road in Sixmilebridge.
This would be made up of six detached houses, 40 semi-detached units and 28 terrace dwellings.
The applicant outlines the need for ancillary surface car parking, vehicular and pedestrian access to the development, and connection to the existing public water supply.
Other aspects of the proposed development include storm water and foul water drainage services, and site development and landscape works.
A decision on the development is due to be reached by Clare County Council on or before May 5th while submissions must be in by April 14th.
