A Clare Credit Union is urging families not to go down the “rabbit hole of money lenders” when trying to make funds go as far as they can over the festive season.
The latest Credit Union Consumer Sentiment Survey shows just 10% of people plan to spend more this Christmas than last year.

One in three say they will dip into their savings to do so, while 6% say they’ll be relying on supports from family and friends.
