Clare County Manager To Step Down

Clare County Manager Tom Coughlan is to step down from his role next month. 

Mr. Coughlan's has served in local government for 40 years, including the last 7 years as CEO, and will complete his tenure at the end of his current contract on the 19th of April.

The Public Appointments Committee has been informed of the decision and will advertise the position shortly. 

Meanwhile Michael McNamara is also to leave his role as Senior Executive Officer of Corporate Service tomorrow after serving in various positions in Clare County Council since 1978. 

Cathaoirleach James Breen Councillor says Mr. Coughlan has done a good job in often difficult circumstances.
