For the first time in almost 50 years the Clare county fleadh wil take place in Kilrush in 2015.
Competition from towns is said to have been tight this year to host the event which expects to attract up to 1,000 competitors.

Organisers have praised local businesses for supporting their application and are now looking for assistance in gathering funds and volunteers.
The festivities will take place for three days from the 19th of June. and Ann Hayes of the Inis Cathaigh Comhaltas says she expects it to provide a much needed economic boost to Kilrush.
