Clare County Dog Warden Warns Rescues ‘Bursting At The Seams’

Clare’s County Dog Warden is warning that animal rescues in the county are ‘bursting at the seams’.

Frankie Coote says while there are normal ebbs and flows in terms of times of pressure, that the demand on services at the moment is unprecedented.

It coincides with the response to the Ukrainian refugee crisis, where millions have been spent by the government in transporting pets from the war-torn country.

 

Frankie says this is placing extra pressure on rescues as some pets are required to isolate before being returned to their owners.
