Clare dog owners are being urged to change their pets drinking water regularly amid the hot spell.
With temperatures expected to reach as high as 20 degrees this week, Clare’s County Dog Warden is advising owners to go for walks in the morning, particularly for animals with heavy coats.

Owners are also being advised to be conscious of cold water shock when dogs are entering the water to swim, and to take measures preventing pets from overheating in the first place.
